How do I get the poo off of Tyler's furry butt? It's stuck onto him! It really smells too!
Sorry for all the info, but this is an emergency! :excl:

Put on some rubber gloves, then stick him under the sink and wash his bottom. Then, let him dry a bit so you can comb him. After that, give him a good bath, comb/brush, and blow dry.

I keep Scooby's butt trimmed all the time, it is much better and easier to keep clean that way. What I do hate is when he poops on his tail, but that is easy to wash off usually, and the funny thing is he hates it when he gets in a mess and he will stand near the back room and wait till I pick him up and clean him.

I too keep the hair on Lacey's butt cutt short. She gets so embrassed when she gets poop stuck on her butt. I have never yelled at her, but she gets so embrassed...she can't look me in the eyes. I just pick her up when this happens, stick her butt in the sink and wash her. I tell her this is what mommies are for.

Bella is the same way. She'll run and hide from all of us like "don't look at me".
If it's too imbedded to pull off with a towel then I usually just cut it off. Quick and painless for both of us.

How do they know that there's poop on their butt?

It's hard to get tyler into the sink. He tries to pull himself out. I couldn't do it because he looked uncomfortable and tried to shoo my hand away. I had to pull hard on his fur, so I stopped. My mom has him now so I guess I'll tell her to cut it off.
Thanks for the advice though!

So far no real nasty cases with Phoebe, but with Holli if she got it really bad I did her in the stationary tub downstairs. We cut an old hose into about a 3' length, maybe shorter, and it attached to the faucet, so I just hose her little bottom and a dab of shampoo, trying not to make a whole bath out of it.

good luck!

I don't know how Jill knows but when there is poop stuck on her but, she drags it on the floor. Jack just walks around like anybody's business and it is my job to spot it and clean it off. :new_Eyecrazy:

lol Jack!!!
He's a man's man

Yes, we call them dingleberries too. It got to the point where I just call Peanut 'my little dingleberry'...not sure what the neighbors think of me
I cut away as much bum hair as I can to prevent this, but sometimes it just has to happen. Peanut comes to me and waits until I check his butt before he sits down. It's so cute that he learned to do that.

When Tic gets poo stuck on his bum, he takes a fit and takes off running. The poo eventually flies off if no one catches him first...What we do for these little guys :new_Eyecrazy:

This is too funny! Harley also knows when there is 'something stuck there' - he runs inside to find me & kind of squats down a bit and looks at me as if to say 'get it off, get it off, quick mummy get it off!!!'

I do the same thing as many of you - take him to the sink & wash it off - he has his own little face-washer just for the job - well, it's my OLD face-washer, now it's his butt-washer! Oh, don't worry, I always pay attention & never get it mixed in with any of mine!! LOL! My old hand-towels are also now his for drying after the task too.

That's so funny, because the boys got their own brand new set of towel and I'm the one using the raggedy old ones
Lots of people here think I have officially gone over the edge when it comes to my little malts!
