Charley just had his teeth cleaned and the vet did a urine test as well, that came back positive for protein. They didn't find any explanation for it and told me to take him back in 2 weeks for another check.
Any experience with this? What could have caused this or it's nothing to worry about?

I don't know, they just told me there were some...I'm not too worried he is eating and drinking just fine and he acts normal.

You can google "canine proteinuria" and find information online. Petplace.com has one of the more simpler articles to read on proteinuria.

Proteinuria in Dogs

I'm hoping this is a one-time occurrence for Charley.
