My daughter is diabetic and tonight she tested her blood sugar after using a soap that contained methyl glucose dioleate. Now, from first site, one would think that glucose is glucose..and would effect the result. In fact, I had her retest after using an alcohol wipe and sure enough, there was a 100 point difference! So my question is..what is methyl glucose dioleate? I tried googling but got a lot of scientific stuff I cannot make out!

Actually, I was just wondering if anyone knew if indeed that ingredient meant it had a form of sugar in it or not....

Well, I've never heard of it, but if you google methyl gluceth and sugar, you get a lot of sites stating that it's derived from glucose (corn sugar). Also, just by looking at the word gluceth, I automatically think glucose.
