So this week I started a 2nd job in the evenings, doing some janitorial work for a few hours. Nothing major, just to make a few extra bucks. Anyway, so I've been coming home later than normal, and Micky is just so excited to see me. Don't forget now, that he is home all day with my grandparents and is their constant companions. So he is far from lonely.

I get home and we are running around, playing, throwing squeaky toys around. He's doing his zoomies all over the place. He has a doggy door, but he just loves it when I "escort" him out to go pee. So we go out to pee, and he wanders around the yard, peeing on all his favorite trees. He turns around and starts running back towards the door. I figured he'd go in the doggy door, but no... He ran right into the sliding glass door! :w00t: He thought it was open. OMG! I was so scared. I picked him up and brought him into the kitchen where the big spot light kitchen lights are and checked him all over. He didn't even have a bump on his head. But it was so scary. I think I'll be keeping an extra eye on him. He acts like nothing happened at all, except he treated me examining him like he does getting his teeth brushed, and was dancing all around excited and waiting for a treat!

He was so caught up in the excitement of his mama coming home..poor little guy!! I'm glad that he's okay.

mine has done this before too, albeit when taking a walk, then turning up to smile at me..and then she's run right into a wall. Now I'm really careful about watching her walk and move away from obstacles as clearly, she isn't!

Awww, I'm glad he's ok. Rocky has done this while playing fetch. He looks at the knotted rope and runs without watching where he is going and runs right into the wall. It is scary! But he has never been hurt so far. Micky is just so excited to see his Mama!

Well I just called my grandpa to check on Micky, and he's doing fine this morning. Running around and barking at TV. What a relief that he's ok.

Ouch!! Happy Micky is fine . Just this week Tyler came flying around a corner and didn't turn enough and slammed into a plastic storage carton in our foyer. I screamed, he didn't thankfully, and I think he took the brunt of it in his shoulder. He was fine but I was a wreck.

Poor Mickey. Hope he is OK.

We had the screen closed on the sliding glass door closed AND the glass door was closed. I went to open the door for Bogie to go out and he really had to go, I guess, because he ran out the second I opened the glass door and bounced backwards off the screen. Boy he looked shocked! LOL

Aw poor little Micky, I'm glad that he's okay :D he was just sooo happy that you were finally home  I'm always surprised by the amount of energy that these fluffs display when you first come home. I don't think Yeager has walked into glass before but I have bumped my head into a glass  I was too busy being embarrassed and shocked to feel any physical discomfort

Becky -- Lacie did the same thing about 4 years ago and it certainly did scare me to death. She saw me going toward the patio door and, instead of going through her doggie door (like she normally does) she thought the patio door was open and ran right into it, so Micky's not the only one.

So glad to hear that Micky was OK and not injured. These little ones just don't seem to know their own limitations. They believe that they're invincable.

Poor Micky or really poor you. Sounds like Micky was oblivious which is a good thing. I'm glad he's ok. He was overexcited to see Mommy bless his little heart.
Dixie used to whack her head on things like the coffee table or a chair leg all the time when she was younger. Miss judging the height of things I guess. I cringed each time I heard the thunk but she was fine.
Tell Micky hi from us and give him kisses please. xxxxxxxxxxxxx
