<span style="font-family:Times">Peaches is starting to not eat her dog food again :new_Eyecrazy: . She usually gets merrick puppy plate and wellness kibble. Shewill go the whole day not eating, untill 6:00, then she kinda will eat. I thought of adding home cooked food to her kibble to entice her to eat. So I got my food processor and began to grind up ground turkey, cottage cheese apples, alfalfa sprouts and spinach. I then took my mixture and made them into meatballs. I steamed the turkey balls and she absolutely love em. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Please let me know....I only want whats best for Peaches

Home cooking is fine, but for long-term feeding it needs to be a balanced diet. I would recommend either using a reputable recipe (like from Dr. Strombeck's book on home cooking) or having a veterinary nutritionist formulate a diet for her.

yeah, you just need to add carbs. the book will be way detailed. but you'll still be able to make little meatballs if you wanted. that sounds like a great idea. i know i have to mix the veggies into the meat because my mom likes to serve the veggies on the side---and sprite wont eat them. LOL.
