<span style="font-family:Times">Peaches is starting to not eat her dog food again :new_Eyecrazy: . She usually gets merrick puppy plate and wellness kibble. Shewill go the whole day not eating, untill 6:00, then she kinda will eat. I thought of adding home cooked food to her kibble to entice her to eat. So I got my food processor and began to grind up ground turkey, cottage cheese apples, alfalfa sprouts and spinach. I then took my mixture and made them into meatballs. I steamed the turkey balls and she absolutely love em. Do you guys think this is a good idea? Please let me know....I only want whats best for Peaches
Home cooking is fine, but for long-term feeding it needs to be a balanced diet. I would recommend either using a reputable recipe (like from Dr. Strombeck's book on home cooking) or having a veterinary nutritionist formulate a diet for her.
