I have noticed in many of the pics on this site that the fur around the mouths of the 'models' is always sooo white.
Sassi's is rarely white, usually rust colored, from getting her fur in her water and or dog food.
Is there a good way to clean this so it whitens up again, or does it just have to be trimmed off?
Her eyes have never been a problem, just her 'rusty mouth'

Does she use tap water or distilled water? what kind of bowl??? Stainless steel cuts down on stains around the mouth and distilled water... to many minerals in tap water....

To remove stains... Eye Envy works great on any stains including stains around the mouth. www.eyeenvy.com

She uses a ceramic dish for water. And it is Tap water... never would have considered those things...will try them thank you for the advice.

I really don't want to have to trim her hair short around her mouth.
