I sat back yesterday and watched as a story unfolded that seemed foreign to the facts. I felt this was a private matter, and I even told Voilet's Mom I felt it was. When I sent her the email about the problem, I told her in that email that I did not want to embarass her, and that I did not plan to post. The next thing I did was send Joe a PM, telling him that I expected problems, and asked him to monitor this. I told him that I would not post unless I was slandered by the other party. Some of you saw this going on yesterday, and I received a lot of PM's about this.
Now, after reading the posts this morning, I feel that I should speak up, as Violet's agenda is quite obvious.
I am shocked and saddened that someone who I spent so much time trying to help (perhaps ten hours of time emailing and on the phone) would do what she has done. If ever I had a doubt about one of my pups going to her, I don't now.
Our agreement was for payment to be made on the 1st and 15th. As some of you know, my power was out due to the hurricane; however, my friend did respond to Violet and tell her I was OK. When I talked with her by phone on the 5th, she told me she had not put the money in PayPal because of the storm, even though she had been informed by my friend there was no problem with me or the pups. She promised to mail this payment on the 7th. She never told me she did, nor did she ever ask if I received the money. On the 16th, I received an email that she "forgot" to send the second payment, and asked if she could send it by PayPal. I attempted to call her, and I left a voice message about a sweater I had bought for the pup, so she would know it was my call. I called her again on Monday the 19th. We talked for perhaps 30 to 40 minutes, and she didn't mention making further payment. When I mentioned PayPal, the phone went dead. I don't know whether this was due to poor cell phone signal or another reason. But, when I got home, I sent her an email, telling her about the PayPal. I did get some correspondence on the morning of the 20th, but there was no promise of payment. Further emails from her dealt only with the pictures I was sending. I had begun to have other doubts, and the irresponsible handling of payment just reinforced these. At no time have I received any payment for this pup. She keeps harping on my not informing her that I didn't receive the first payment she told me she would send on the 7th, but by the 22nd, she had not even made the other payment that was to be sent out on the 15th. I had explained to her when we first talked that all payment was to be received seven days prior to shipping, as I had to make the vet appointment and schedule the flight time. The email I sent went out on the 21st around midnight, or early on the morning of the 22nd. The pup was to be shipped on the 28th.
Now, for those of you who wanted the rest of the story, you have the part about the money. I will keep the rest private.
This will be my only post on this topic. I did not want to do it, as I did not want to stoop to the level of the posting yesterday. As I told Joe in the PM, I would only speak up if I was being slandered.
I would hope that since there was so much posting on this yesterday with the other side being presented that we can just close this horrible matter at this point.
