Hi SM family 💖.. this is my first post. My Maltese is 3 months her name is Baby. I notice for 3 weeks now that she sometimes wakes up after her nap with a wet leg. At first I thought she was peeing on her leg while used her wee wee pad, but when she fell asleep on my lap there was a wet spot left. I’ve been using google and saw something about a uti but I feel like she’s so young. She’s also my first puppy, so I’m not too sure if I should be worried or if it’s normal.

I think they can get a urinary tract infection at any age.

My guy had a similar issue that turned out to be excessive drooling while he slept. Truly bizarre, we thought it was pee at first too. Not exactly sure what the cause was but we thought it might have been inflamed gums. Took his chew toys away for a couple days and the issue resolved.
