I voted that he liked it but it is really that he tolerates it.... he has grown from pitching a fit to tolerating it. I hate it because I know he doesn't love it. I only do minor grooming and freshening him up... he has a standing appointment for grooming once a month and that works out fine.

I don't even attempt to even brush Kallie. She never mats and she totally freaks out on the grooming table at home. The groomer said she has no problem with her whatsoever... !!

The three of us like it. Peanut still hesitates when it comes to his bum area (groomer nicked him, which is the reason why I started grooming them myself). Peanut grew into it, but Tic has always been okay with all the grooming stuff

Glad to hear Bella and Harley are working with you now. Isn't it great when you can see them growing up

I wish I could take credit for their whole grooming, but really they go to a groomer for baths, I just brush them in between and keep their topknots up. I tried bathing them, but I just don't have whatever it takes. I love their groomer though, she's great. I'm so glad they've learned that grooming isn't bad, its kind of fun to brush them out and put bows in their hair
I think the reason they finally like it (besides the treats
) is they get one on one time with me and whoever isn't being brushed at the time gets an undisturbed nap, divas!

Massimo doesn’t like it, but he tolerates it. I don't like doing it because HE doesn't like it LOL. When I get all the supplies out to do it, he looks at me lowers his head, and I swear I can hear him sigh! He won't come to me, I have to get him...but when I'm bathing him he lifts each leg for me and stands when I wash his belly and when I'm grooming him he sits right still for me. He know's it's a necessary evil for him to look fabulous.
LOL!!

I answred that Dixie liked it but in truth she just realllyyyyy likes the Gibborn liver treats that are saved ONLY for grooming sessions. I dislike it b/c she is still such a wiggle worm. I did notice something new during last nights combing session; I brought her onto my bed and combed her there, rather than on the table in the laundry room [where I have always done it]. She was much calmer. Only half as spastic :new_Eyecrazy: We have a love session every evening on my bed before she goes to sleep on my daughters bed. Maybe this was a calmer time for grooming rather than in the morning????

Puddles loves to be brushed (thanks so Sassy's mom) since I started spraying him prior to brushing. Suppose it hurt before. He will bark, jump and run up and down the hall as if it's a treat.

But you let him see the shampoo bottles/towels and he's off to hide (under bed). Once he's in the sink, he will stand still and give me the hate mommy look.

So I guess were riding the fence on this poll.

We need another option in the poll -- Mommy doesn't have time for it and Miko has better things to do with his time!!! LOL. I do brush him (and my husband is currently brushing him too) and Miko doesn't mind at all and we do topknots. But that's about it, we leave the rest to the groomer. I am serious though -- I think Miko views it as a waste of his time :new_Eyecrazy:

The boys are good when I bath or brush them. They dont like it but are good durning it.I hate it because I know they do too.I feel like Im inflicting some kind of tourture on them because of the looks they give me
Lamby will let me bath her but in NO WAY can I brush her....she makes Cujo look like a lamb in conpairason! Thnak goodness she never matts. So she is fine between the trips they take to the groomers.Lamby never tries to eat my groomer Rita, she has never given her any trouble since the first time she went to her.But Rita knew she was a rescue and weaved her magic spell on her
Hmmm wish she would give me the magic spell.............

This sounds exactly like Brinkley!!!!
For evening eye cleaning and burshing sessions he acts so funny...
The "look" and the cower...and I am sure he is thinking..."Don't EVEN try to make it sound like "fun time" to get me to come over there!?"

We did digress in the grooming the entire body though...he used to let me do whatever...then he decided he didn't want me touching his feet...then his belly...then his bottom...so now he will be going to the groomer every 4-6 weeks.

He is really good during baths and blow drying....
but clipping will be left to the pros from now on.

Will doesn't mind grooming, Gracie tolerates it and Brie absolutely hates it and tries to bite the comb, brush, clippers, sicssors, or anything else required in grooming. She is okay getting her face washed and is okay with baths though, (thank goodness :new_Eyecrazy: ) I have to groom her in stages, sometimes it takes me a week to get everything done. All 3 dogs hate, hate, hate ear cleaning drops and they all run when they see the bottle and dropper

maltx3, love the fall pics!

buttercup likes grooming, she knows it's her time to be pampered. (yeah, like that's the ONLY time she gets pampered....) groomer brenda says she truly wishes every one of her clients was as well behaved as buttercup. even when she's being dematted, lol, she is still wagging her tail (buttercup, not brenda).

i dont know what i "did" to get so lucky, but i'm hoping i "do it again" when we get our next dog! LOL

ann marie and the "is it ribbon time yet? i havent had a ribbon ALL DAY!" buttercup
