Well, I went to Nationals and there were some of the most beautiful maltese I have ever laid eyes on...........sitting here with 3 rescues, one 7.6 lbs. and the other two at 9.8 lbs. mine are far from the standard.

Would I like to have a show dog??? Maybe some day when I am rich!:HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley: Although, having three rescues wasn't exactly the "cheap" route either! Between the three of them, I have spent over $2000 to get them up to par health wise but oh soooooo worth it. I would not trade a single one of my girls for any of the show dogs I saw this past weekend. What mine lack on the outside to standard, they have more than enough on the inside to make up for that with their beautiful personalities and loving hearts that nobody can put a price tag on!:thumbsup:

So while I enjoyed seeing all the beautiful fluffs in the show, I realize that I have what I need right here. Would the hubby agree? YOU BET!!!!!

I couldn't go to Nationals this year because at 14.5 years old, it would be too stressful to take Lady and too stressful to leave her. Atlanta is so close to me, I was very disappointed at first. Then I looked at Miss Lady and realized I had the most beautiful Maltese right next to me! Who needs to go look at show dogs?
Well you made the right decision!!! Buffy is my social butterfly and even "she" was overwhelmed with all the excitment and dogs. The hubby went with me and we had a big stroller that they all fit in so he would take them back to the room and allow them to roam around a bit and I think that helped a lot to keep their stress down. So enjoy the pictures and love on that beautiful "Lady."
