Toronto - What A Fun City!

Back from a quick business trip to Toronto. What a fun city ... too bad I had to work!! Had just enough time to do some star gazing (the Toronto International Film Festival is going on right now), and some eating and drinking. Had the BEST New England-style clam chowder at Rodney's Oyster House, not to mention the oysters which were out of this world. Met up with others from the office at the Academy of Spherical Arts (fancy name for a nice restaurant with pool tables), then to Brazen Head, a nice Irish pub, then somehow we ended up at a nightclub. :chili: I have no idea what the name or address is. Other than a teeny weeny headache yesterday morning :w00t: my only complaint is my feet. Not fair that we were all in business attire ... meaning the guys had flat comfortable shoes and I had on heels. Told my boss I'd be leaving early today as I have an appointment to have my feet amputated.

To sum it up, Toronto is a great city, one I'd go back to in a heartbeat! And flying on Porter Airlines directly into the city airport is the best. No lines, no fuss, and free shuttle and a 10 minute ride to downtown.

That sounds like a perfect buisness trip! Other than having to wear heels that is! ;)

Hope your feet start feeling better soon! Heels know exactly how to hurt them the most... :(
Sounds like you had a wonderful time.. I'm sure it was worth the
wee headache and the sore feet. Tell your boss he owes you
a pedicure.:HistericalSmiley:

Yup Mary. I think that's a better route to go then amputation.:HistericalSmiley::HistericalSmiley: You're making Toronto sound very appealing. I've never been. Thanks for the virtual trip though the bar and nightclub experience don't work as well virtually. :wine: You can rest up your head and feet this weekend, hopefully :)
Oooo I'm from Toronto - glad you enjoyed your time here! I love the oysters at rodney's too

I'm very curious about what club you ended up at :)
Mary sounds like you had alot of fun,:chili: better put those feet up and get some sleep. Tell your boss next time he needs to wear the heels:HistericalSmiley:

So am I!! I thought I was getting in a cab headed for my hotel ... next thing I knew I was in a nightclub!! I have yet to find out whose brilliant ideal that was ... but I must admit that the music was good and we did have fun. I think the only person who knows the name of the club was the person who thought going there was a good idea ... and that person isn't ready to own up to it yet. B) And as we were leaving people were still arriving ... and it was 2:30 in the morning on a worknight!!
Oh Mary, sounds like a great time!!!! Glad you got to enjoy and it was wonderful to hear about how much furn Toronto is, never been there, but sounds great. So glad you enjoyed.
Glad you had a good time in Toronto, Mary!!!
You missed the best part of Toronto, its biggest resident star, Diamond!! ;)
Sounds like you had a wonderful time!! Next time, get you a large pocket book and put a pair of comfortable shoes in so when you end up at a night club (that no one knows the name of...LOL) you can put them on and put those high heels in your purse. I hear that it is a very clean city!! How are those "puppies" feeling now.....no amputation???? Seriously, I am glad to hear that you have a fun time on that business trip~~~:chili::chili::chili:
Sounds like you had lots of fun in T.O.! :chili:

I haven't been to the Brazen Head, nor the oyster place, but have most likely been to which ever club you were at! lol
Glad you enjoyed TO Mary :) My daughter and Granddaughter are here with me right now in Vancouver, but only for a few days. They live in Toronto and so does my son. So I have the warm fuzzies for there ;) They are going back tomorrow :crying: :crying:
Sounds like you had an overall wonderful trip ^_^ that is great ;)
