Turkey Fabric at Joann's

Weird title for a post, huh?

Anyway, I just wanted to let anyone who bought one of my turkey bows know that Joann has fabric that matches it perfectly! Even the pose of the turkey is almost identical to the button I used and the colors are exactly the same.

It also happens to be on sale for 30% off, too!

I bought a yard for $4.89 and am sending it to Rena (barkindogclothes) to make a dress for Lady for Thanksgiving Day! It's Lady's favorite holiday and since she "helps" my mom baste the turkey all day, she certainly needs a turkey dress!

Jodi might make a dress, too, from the fabric if you asked. Her dresses look adorable.

If anyone is interested, but isn't close to a Joann's, pm me and I can pick some up for you and send it to Rena along with mine.

Your not going to make Toby wear a TURKEY DRESS, are you? :new_Eyecrazy:

Seriously, if Rena can make Toby a little vest, I'm sure I have plenty of material to make both since I both a whole yard. If I remember, this style dress only needs 1/2 yard.

Toby in a dress? What do you think he is a girly dog?

I was thinking about a vest or a shirt. That would be really cute. We usually go to my sister's for Thanksgiving and I think Toby would be stunning in a Turkey outfit.

I'll go over to JoAnn's tonight to see if they have any of the material.

Yes, we know it is Lady's favorite holiday--I still remember the picture you posted of Lady at Thanksgiving last year. That one is one of my favorite pictures!
Here's my sweet Lady, dreamin' of turkey last year!

Oh, Lady is soooo sweet! Such an angelic expression but so dignified, too. Give her a nose-kiss for me and Pico.

As I said, I can get the fabric here so if anyone has a problem finding it, let me know.
A dress to match her turkey bow?

I've got great news! I told Rena how her website was one of the first ones I posted when I joned sm a year ago and how many of us here on SM love her clothes. I asked her to give us a discount like she does for Yorkietalk and she agreed!

So from now on SM will get 10% off any order over $15!

Her shopping cart isn't set up to make the discount, so put a message in the message block and she will manually refund the money. She's already added us to ther webpage!

I asked her how many Fall Festival dresses she could get out of the yard of fabric I already have and she thinks 1 small (Lady) and a couple of extra small (Ruby Jean?) Any one else interested? You don't have to pay me back fo this fabric - I just hate to see it go to waste.

I am going to start hitting the fabric stores as well and start getting
material to make Cosmo some bandana's he just looks too darn cute in
them. But I have come up with an idea to put a snap on them rather
than tieing them so I don't have to worry about accidently pulling his hair.

I just might have to look for some Turley getto as well
