Rex is 5 lbs and 42 stitches were perfect for him too. I could have went a little bit longer on the belly. Next time! You cant tell much from the picture, but the nect is ribbed and so is the end and the end of the belly area. The rest is straight knit stitch. I am going to make a scarf to match and boots as well! Excuse the face, Rex had just finished breakfast before the picture!

Well, I guess if I want a red chenille sweater for Pico I'm going to have to knit it myself! I think my local Yarn Barn gives free knitting classes when you buy the yarn (what's "cast off"?
)

I'll post a picture if I get this done this year.......

It works downwards, so you can still cast on the 42 depending on the weight and I just kept putting it up to Rex until it was as long as him, he is 12 inches long. Don't forget that is in addition to the neck!
