What food do you feed your dog?

I was wondering if you could please let me know what food you all are feeding your dogs? I am currently using Royal Canine and I would like to switch. According to many people I have spoken to at the pet store, Royal Canine is considered to be an O.K. food. It's not one of the best!
If you could let me know what food you use that would be awesome!
Thank you,
Jennifer

We feed Puddles Innova and he loves it.
The only place we can get is at the Home Economist Market (natural food products), an hour from our home.
We also started using Newman's Own the puppies love it
Jennifer, why do you want to switch from Royal Canin? Are you having problems with it or are you just wanting to change because of what those people at the pet store said?

What Royal Canin are you currently using?

I don't use Royal Canin but they seem like a good food to me. I believe they are one of the better foods out there. According to their guaranteed analysis, they have a great protein:fat ratio and the ingredients seem better than any you will find at a regular pet store. They do have beet pulp though so if you're having tear staining that may be one cause, though I think that is still debatable.

If your dogs aren't having any problems with it and they like it, I wouldn't pay much attention to what someone says at the pet store.

I think she may be referring to tha fact that Royal Canin pet food has changed quite a bit now that Waltham has bought the company and is selling it here in the US.

I used to swear by RC years ago for my cats. It was a top top quality food before all the others came out. Then it became really hard to find here. I was so excited to find that it had become more avavilable and that Pet Smart was starting to carry it.

They changed the formula, though, to cheaper ingredients. They now add corn, a cheap filler. The local pet boutiques and upscale pet stores here stopped carrying it for that reason since they no longer consider it to be a premium food. I still buy it because my Siamese Sarah still prefers it, but I feed it along with Wellness.
We use Chicken Soup for the Puppy (Dog) Lover's Soul. It's the only one Sylphide would eat--we tried all the other premiums to no avail (Shrek will eat anything, but I have all 3 of ours on the Chicken Soup brand.
I feed Sugar and Chloe Merrick's Grammy's Pot Pie. You can actually see the dried veggies in there. They also make a canned food that I add in with their morning meal. My sheltie is on Prairie and I am also pleased with it. I usually refer to the Whole Dog Journal when choosing a food.
Malitda has allegerys, i have been feeding her natural balance by Dick Van Patton. she loves it. Duck and pototo is her favorite.
