I see there's several of our fluffs that have gotten hurt after jumping from high places, like beds. 7 weeks ago,Boo took a flying leap from a high bed & when he landed, his front legs buckled & he screamed in pain & couldn't walk. The vet sent us to a specialist in Nashville & Boo had to have surgery on his right rear leg. He had completely ruptured his CCL & damaged the meniscus. It's been a rough 7 weeks & Boo is still recovering. I'll always feel guilty about it, we should have been more careful. I don't expect Boo to ever be the same as before the injury,he may always have a slight limp & some pain & stiffness after moderate activity. He's coming along though & getting better, but he still has a way to go. We're much more careful now,but wish we had been more careful before this happened.:(

Oh, that's so painful! I'm glad he's on the mend now. These little critters are so fast and unpredictable sometimes.

I hope Boo is feeling better now. Accidents happen, but you're still a good mommy!

Poor Boo. Kind of sounds like my right knee.. I had a torn ACL and meniscus. Never got the surgery though. Boo does look adorable in those pix.:wub: It's so hard when they injure themselves but I don't think that we can watch every moment of what they do. It's just like kids...you try and try and when your back is turned for a minute, bam. :w00t: I hope Boo will recover well and am sorry you're both going through this. Maybe try the glucosamine that was suggested to me in my thread. Hope happier days are in front of you both.:grouphug:

Oh my goodness Sue, I am so sorry! Boo looks fabulous now in the second pic, cutest pic I have seen of him. Oh, I hope he will be okay and will be as good as new. You have had a time going through this. All of us feel bad when our babies are down and hopefully by late spring, he will be more like his old self~~~Sending hugs and puppy kisses to Mr Boo!!!!:wub::wub:

Poor guy. I hope he keeps getting better. Something about high places and the urge to jump. It's not your fault either.

Sue it is nice to read that he is continuing to recover. I keep praying that he WILL go all better with no limping or leg problems AT ALL! It sure wasn't your fault.
Snowy jumps, jumps and jumps in the silliest situations. Unlike Crystal, he isn't careful and has NO FEAR from jumping very high.

For example, when going down the stairs, he would skip the last three steps of the stairs by jumping high to reach the ground (as if he wants to save time and reach where he wanna reach). Sometimes, I just can't predict when he will do his high jumps so it is VERY HARD to stop. It makes my heart sink when I see him. I go to him and tell him "no", but still I can expect those jumps when he gets excited. It all happens in seconds, so even if I was there to run and stop him, it would be SO LATE!!! That sure wasn't your fault :grouphug:

I love you Boo so much  Keep on getting better you smarty little guy.

Don't blame yourself. Accidents are inevitable, no matter how careful we may be. I'm glad your Boo is recovering.:wub::wub: Love him in both pics.

By the way, I was wondering why you've been MIA! It's great to have you back. :aktion033:

OUCH! That must have been painful.....and I sure am glad he's well on the road to recovery. These little ones sure can scare you to death sometimes. Arch tore his ACL last September, the vet didn't want to operate...he doesn't limp now, but he still holds it up when he stands still.

I said I was being extra careful before that happened.....and it happened anyway :smilie_tischkante:

Can you get a referral to a physical therapist? I am a firm believer that it makes a huge positive difference in recovery.
Soda has had 2 knee surgeries for injuries and is perfectly sound and has no arthritis or other problems. I attribute that to our great surgeon and his insistence that we do intense rehab.

It's so frustrating. These little ones of ours think they can fly! They are not Superman or Superwoman. And who do we blame when they get hurt? Ourselves. We are all amazing, doting, protective malt moms but there is only so much we can do. I feel your pain. Don't blame yourself though Sue. Prayers for sweet Boo that he heals quickly.
